Metallica
Heavily Into New Direction
LOS ANGELES,
CA--
After twenty years of performing, eight releases, and millions of albums
sold, the musical group Metallica has decided to change its name, according
to "Buzz" Davidson, a spokesman for the group.
"The
guys just felt that it was time for a name change," said Buzz. "I
mean, yeah, the name 'Metallica' was great for them when they started
out young, raw and hungry. It was a great name for the band when they
refused to make music videos, but they've changed now."
Buzz also
said "they've sold millions of albums, but they've had their hair
cut, and now they look forward to the music video making process. I mean,
let's face it--after that whole Napster thing, everyone could see that
this wasn't the same band."
Buzz thinks
the band's new direction will be good for sales, but more importantly,
it will help maintain its integrity.
Topfortyca
is currently recording a Christmas album that will be released in early
November of this year.
They have
no immediate plans for a tour, but hope to be able to perform at as many
awards ceremonies as possible.
