| CANADA'S SOURCE FOR HUMOUR, PARODY, AND SATIRE
CHICAGO, IL-- Let's get ready to rumble! Oprah Winfrey will be dedicating her July 23rd program to determine who is the world's greatest feminist. On the upcoming show, world feminist leaders Camille Paglia and Gloria Steinem will be "foxy boxing" to establish feminist supremacy.
The two women
hope to settle the dispute of who can properly be called the "World's
Greatest Feminist." And, at the same time, try to appropriate the
sport of foxy boxing for the feminist movement. They hope to elevate the
misogynistic bar-sport to a credible, respectable level (which foxy boxers
can be proud of). Ms. Steinem,
who co-founded Ms. Magazine in 1971, was very optimistic about her chances.
"I'm hoping that Camille and I can have a good, clean match that
will settle this issue. At the same time I hope we can inspire young women
to stand up for their rights, be strong and make their voices heard, and
perhaps even become a professional foxy boxer." The July 23rd episode is expected to become the most anticipated Oprah program since the show began in 1985. The Oprah's
Book Club reading, "Oprah's Guide To Foxy Boxing" has debuted
at #3 on the New York Times Bestsellers List. "I think that this
program is going to be fan-tabulous!" Oprah beamed. "We are
going to make television herstory!"
