| CANADA'S SOURCE FOR HUMOUR, PARODY, AND SATIRE
TEMPE, AZ-- For years Percy Twittle waited for Tony and Angela to express their true feelings for each other. But it's Percy's own unstable emotions that have been the "boss" of him lately.
The 29-year-old male nurse has been slowly losing parts of himself, ever since the cancellation of the TV-series "Who's The Boss" in 1992. Percy keeps a shrine in the downstairs bedroom of the two-level home he shares with his wife Kelly. He keeps candles lit hoping for the day a television reunion will give new life to the Micellis and the Bowers. Kelly, who originally met Percy at a "Growing Pains" Social in 1991, is concerned about her husband's recent behaviour. "Percy is a great man, and I love him to death, but I think his infatuation with Judith Light is becoming a problem," said Kelly. "Last night, while we were in bed, he called me 'Angela'." There have been other warning signs. Kelly thinks that Percy has been trying to imitate the romantic tensions that revolved around the show. "The other night he watched me go upstairs to have a bath, but he stood at the bottom of the stairs wrestling with whether he should follow me. He kept pretending to hesitate and then he would turn around clenching his fists and then sigh. It was very strange." Kelly also recalled an incident where Percy was playing basketball in the driveway. "I went out to ask him if he would pick up my drycleaning, as I was late for work," said Kelly. "But he turned to me with this weird smirk on his face and said 'ay oh ay'. What did that mean?" Still, Kelly thinks that Percy is probably going through a phase. "I remember his 'Family Ties' era," said Kelly. "He grew a beard like Steven Keaton (Michael Gross) and changed the name of his cat to Mallory." But because Kelly somewhat understands what Percy is going through, she's willing to test the marriage for a little while longer. She herself remembers the emptiness she felt when her favourite show "Head Of The Class" was cancelled. "I'll
let it slide for now," declared Kelly. "But if he tries to buy
that old blue van, I'm going to thump him. Then we'll see who's really
the boss."
