Unique
Perspectives With Gamer Dewd
This reading shit can really blow your mind. I mean it's not the same
as the sweet feeling of some keen railgunning action in Quake 3 or laying
on the moves in Street Fighter Alpha, but it's really not that bad.
So check it, I was reading Harry Potter (yah, the little British dweeb)
and I was all into the whole wizard thing going on. I wanted that keen
perspective you get when you read the book then check out the movie, you
know?
So yah, this kid finds out he's got the magic thing going on when he
turns eleven and he's all like "sweet" and is all wanting to
zap the shit out of his aunt and uncle, and this little fat bastard of
a cousin. But he doesn't waste them, and ends up checking into some whack
wizard school instead. He's all like "I'm outta here" and his
relatives are like "later dweeb".
Their school is some totally bizarre castle, and they're teaching him
like how to brew magic potions, and turn shit green. And they play some
whacked out game of air soccer or some shit, and they're riding brooms
like frickin' Witch Hazel man. There's no mention anywhere in the book
that any of them play Quake, or even mention computer gaming at all. Minor
biteage for that oversight.
The rest of the book is some hero-villain shite that I won't spoil too
much, except to say that the dweeb wins (well, there is like four or five
books right?).
I hope that the movie is majorly sweet. It should be, because they spooged
a hundred million making it. The computerized animation should rock, and
the air soccer scenes will hopefully be impressive.
So yah, check out the book. It's kinda messed up in a dungeons and dragons
sorta way, but you'll get the picture. And the unique perspective of knowing
you read the book then saw the movie will make you insightful to your
buddies.
Later dewds.
