A girlfriend she asked me about the engagement ring she thought to be giving back to her ex-fiancé, and I was in the total shock! Girl, that is yours to keep and to show the next man not to be messing around with your relationship.
The engagement ring is a symbol to you, and it is like a bond you do not break. With the ring I mean to say.
This, my sweets, is not to be confused with the wedding ring, which can be left in your jewelry box for as long as you care. It is kept and not sold, for it is the bad luck that will reach down upon you and taint you like the tarnish on your mother's silverware.
Keep the engagement rings on your other fingers, and use them as a power that you wield towards the man who is not serious enough to make your commitment. Those rings will show him that you are here to mean business, and that love and diamonds are the girl's best friend.
I will say it is okay to take them off for you to sleep, but not for when you are showing yourself to the public. The rings are a statement of your power of desire, and you are only the weaker for giving them back to the man who would not make the bride of you.
