| CANADA'S SOURCE FOR HUMOUR, PARODY, AND SATIRE
I see by
a glance in a recent journal of news, something I have in the past called
a news-paper, but now I am not so sure, it is obvious that the robots
have taken full control of the publishing bodies of this great country
and now use the former means of communicating truths, half-truths, statistics
and advertising messages into their own twisted and deranged organ of
public relations, the meanings of stories retold in ways that make them
appear the heros they definately are not, and if the Canadian public were
aware they would rise up, brandishing their pitchforks, their muskets
and shovels and other implements of the farms they so diligently polish
and sharpen before putting to use to break the sod, turn the ground, and
prepare for the tilling of soil, I see by this glance that now, according
to this article, computers are used to manage almost half the farms in
Canada, are they really managing I ask, or would we better off using the
term manipulating, turning the production of canola and wheat to their
own nefarious ends, subjegating the farmers and simple folk of the land,
those looking for a better life than what they had in the starving fields
of Europe, now taming the vast wilderness of the Western provinces and
territories, and even that stalwart bastion of the other founding race
is leading the way, the article says, leading it where I wonder while
all the time I know all to well it will lead to no good, to the horror
and destruction of all as the fields are stripped of cabbage and milk
cows and turned to the production of ethanol-producing wheat or synthetic
oils the robots need to strengthen their own hand, what can we do to stop
this juggernaut of mechanization without destroying the machines our slaves,
I can not do without my typewriter, it is how I interact with the world
here in my tower, I have forgotten how to write by hand anything longer
than a shopping list without hurting my hand and yet in the upcoming war
between Man and Machine how will I function how will we destroy those
we have welcomed in
