Lost Colony Of British Columbia Discovered West Of The Rockies
Friedman and his team discovered an opening in the Rocky Mountains (near Jasper Alberta), and found that humans were living on the other side of the pass. "There appears to be another province, west of Alberta," said Luc Oberdare, Canada's Minister Of Land and Agriculture. "Early reports have indicated that this seemingly self-sufficent society shares many traits similar to those of Canada. They speak roughly the same language, they have much the same appearance and dress of typical Canadians, and they share many of the same customs and traditions. They even play hockey!"Where did these people come from? Many Canadian historians suggest that they are the descendants of lost settlers that disappeared on a pioneering caravan journey from Winnipeg to Calgary in 1848. It appears that these "British Columbians" held on to their British traditions and values, and thrived in their resource-rich land, trading with natives, Americans, and other areas of the Pacific Rim. While nobody knows exactly how this highly-populated region remained hidden from Canada for so long, many Eastern Canadians simply presumed that life did not exist on the other side of the impassable Canadian Rockies. "It's like discovering a tribe of Indonesian pygmies, completely isolated from the modern world," said Minister Oberdare. "Except these British Columbians are much taller, and they have cable." Prime Minister Harper has vowed to make it his number-one priority to integrate these new "Western Canadians" into the rest of Canada, and promises to eventually recognize British Columbia as an "official" province. "We will embrace these British Columbians as we would a lost brother, sister, or possibly a step-son who has had some minor trouble with the law," said Prime Minister Harper. "We will give them a voice in our government, and a place on our maps. In no way will these new Canadians be treated any differently than any other unique or distinguished group. One day, we may even appoint ministers and senators from this special new province."
