When Chia Pets Are Abandoned And Forgotten
When the Chia Pet was first brought home, the child nurtured it, tended it, and provided it with all the love it needed to grow. It was fed, it was watered, and then it was watered some more. The Chia Pet was the center of attention. Under a caring, loving environment, the Chia Pet thrived, growing a rich, thick coat like a little green lamb. For a short time, the Chia Pet remained the most important member of the family. But eventually the children grew bored, and the Chia Pet became neglected, relegated to a dusty shelf in the seldom-used spare room. Soon it started to wither and wilt, its coat turned brown. Then, sadly, its little clay heart cracked from loneliness and hurt. Realizing that there was longer a place in the home or the heart, you decided to consign the Chia Pet to an adoption center or a shelter, a wishful haven where hopefully the discarded Chia Pet can find a new home. But it was a faint hope for the novelty creation. The shelters are already over-crowded, and truthfully, no one wants to adopt a pre-owned Chia Pet, whose earthen frame has lost its youthful glaze. What other solutions exist for this cute little oven-baked wonder? Relinquish it to the wild? Let it live quietly on a turf farm? No, the future for the Chia Pet is as bleak as the sales of the Pocket Fisherman. Maybe this could have all been prevented if people considered spaying or neutering their Chia Pets. Oh Chia Pet, you sprouted on to the earth with such lust for life--and sunshine. But now it seems you've outgrown yourself. Goodbye my little ceramic friend. ![]() The Toque is the world leader in chia pet humour, parody, and satire!
