Horatio Caine's Sunglasses Focusing On More Money
The glasses, a pair of Silhouette Titan Minimal Art Model 8568's, play a key visual role each week in the forensic murder-solving show, and believe they should be paid accordingly. Agents for the Austrian-made eyewear have gone so far as to suggest that most of David Caruso's Horatio Caine character's dry charm and self-confident appeal are a direct result of the titanium sunglasses. They stated that the striking lines of the dark-blue polycarbonate lenses not only offer perfect anti-dazzle protection against glaring sunlight, but also create an even more powerful, charismatic look for David Caruso. They also argued that the aviator shape with its re-interpreted futuristic look is a perfect complement to the stylish and striking appeal of the U.S. actor, and without them, the Horatio Caine actor would look rather ordinary. They emphasized that without the ergonomically-designed sunglasses (with special beta titanium temples) coming off or going on to character Horatio Caine's face, the stories' plots cannot go forward. The eyewear, often referred to as the "Sunglasses of Justice", reflected on their situation. "We don't want to make a spectacle of the situation," stated the glasses, which had been rumoured to be taking prescriptions for bi-polarization. "But if an agreement can't be reached, we've got our eyes on other roles on other eyes." The producers of CSI: Miami are not happy with the hard-nosed approach of the sunglasses, and have threatened to replace them with a pair of Italian Revo 3038's (with glossy gunmetal frames).
