It’s cute and funny how many people have a lot of opinions about politics, religion, the new iPhone, or Internet culture in general. Yet, despite their ability to communicate a message or an email or a tweet through their laptop, they lack the spirit or the personality to vent that same opinion in “real life”.
I know that I can rant and bitch about a multitude of subjects online, but if I’m walking through the mall, really the only way for anyone to know I have a hurt on for politics or social policy is through a bullhorn (not really practical in the mall) or thru funny t-shirts for men (or funny t-shirts for women) What I mean, is that a geeky or nerdy or politically-inspired t-shirt can be seen by the multitude of shoppers who rally themselves around the $2 pizza-by-the-slice vendor in the food court, and there they can see your comfortable cotton message.
And the thing about t-shirts is that they’re easier to express messages than tattoos, and certainly where your political candidate loses their election campaign, and you still have their image permanently etched into your skin. See, in this example, a funny t-shirt would have done the job better, and left you slightly less committed to that particular party representative.
Geeky, nerdy t-shirts allow you to express your opinions cheaply, and you can express a new message every day…as long as your mom is able to keep up with your political laundry.
